Because it is non-porous, quartz polished surfaces does not need to be sealed. Although the quartz surface can briefly tolerate moderate temperatures for a brief time, it can be damaged by high heat and prolonged exposure to heat. Quartz surface is uniform in pattern and does not contain the natural variation found in most natural stones.
